SENNELIER VENETIAN TURPENTINE
Oils, of vegetable origin, play the part of a binder when combined with pigment.
Used for Oil Paints, oils have an effect on thickness and texture of the paste, speed of drying and other factors.
Artists often mix more than one and create their own recipes.
Sennelier Venetian Turpentine:
Added to oil paints, mediums, and varnishes, this is a balsam that lends an exquisite jewel-like quality with a tough enamel-like surface.
A resin extracted from European larch trees, Sennelier offers it in its pure undiluted honey-like state. Dilute with turpentine 20%.
Use sparingly, 5% maximum of total paint mixture.
